Barbara Kay Smith
Barbara Kay Klinglesmith (now Smith) was born in Rifle, Colorado but spent the majority of her childhood years in LaGrande, Oregon. She graduated from LaGrande Senior High School and attended Eastern Oregon College where she studied Secretarial Science.
After moving to Portland, Oregon, Barbara Kay married Lowell Smith in 1978 and shortly after began their family. She taught typing and office procedures for ten years at a Portland high school and during those years, her love of writing began to emerge.
Lowell and Barbara Kay have two children, a dog, a Subway sandwich shop and love producing specialty model trains on the side. They are very active in prayer ministries at City Bible Church and serve on several prayer teams. They’re also enjoying prayer in the marketplace where they meet with a group, comprised of people from many churches, and pray over businesses. The result of prayer in the marketplace has been amazing.
Her passion and love of prayer has given Barbara Kay the desire to write about her journey with her Heavenly Father and her communication with Him and ‘prayer’ as she knows it. Visit her blog to join her journey...
